About RODE

The Radio Operadores del Este (RODE) was founded at the Eastern part of the island of Puerto Rico. Our main goal is to provide public service, not only to the East Coast, but to the entire island and the World Amateur Radio Community. Also, radio and antenna experiments are encouraged within our members and Amateur Radio friends throughout the World.

RODE is a relatively small group (10 to 15 members) but we are joined with a common goal, and that makes the big difference. Mr. Félix Roldán is our current President and he periodically gives his home to held the RODE Monthly Meetings. The Radio Operadores del Este Amateur Radio Club meets on the first Saturday of the month, at Mr. Roldán home located at Monte Brisas, Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

Anyone who is interested to be part of our Amateur Radio Club is invited to contact any of our members or send us an email to our address.

For local Amateur Radio Operators, or if you come to Puerto Rico, our repeater frecuency is 147.350 Mhz + 600. In a near future, you will find more information regarding different activities held and sponsored by oue Team throughout the year.

The ARRL Field Day and the Internacional Lighthouse / Lightship Weekend are good examples of Activities held and sponsored by our Group; in addition to Special Events Stations.
